Chairman
My background is Insurance, having worked for the AAIS and Endsleigh amongst others. I formed LAB Medico Legal Services in 1996 and developed this to become one of the top five Medico Legal companies before selling my shares in 2002. I joined UKIM in January 2004 and am primarily responsible for overseeing the growth of the Company but also sharing a joint responsibility with the rest of the Management Team for the overall development of the company based on the philosophy of Excellent Customer Service.

Likes: Newcastle United, travel, scuba diving, reading, soul music and the Internet.

Dislikes: Sunderland, poor customer service (everywhere today), political correctness and insincere people.

The buck stops here! If you don't like our service it's ultimately my job to fix that. I'm a great believer that people make the difference and that with the right people you can achieve anything ... so long as you also have the money and time!

Likes: Family, football and motor sport. With a background in accountancy, I like my facts and figures. Hardworking people are always a pleasure to be with.

Dislikes: Wasting money, dishonesty and people who wear hats when driving (open top car drivers are exempt).

Head of Business Development
It is my responsibility to initiate new solicitor leads and account management together with coordination of things between solicitors and operational staff.
I also liaise with third party insurers in relation to protocol arrangements and also with medical experts in relation to service level agreements and specific queries.

I am also involved in arranging CPD accredited seminars.

Likes: Live music, football, golf, beer, wine, food and pubs.

Dislikes: Tequila, quango's and tomatoes.

Andrea Mason
Marketing Executive
My mission is to profitably generate leads for medico legal work and special projects using methods to exceed our clients' requirements. Specific activities include, management of CPD accredited seminars, direct marketing, public relations, event management, internal marketing, advertising and tender/proposal preparation.

Likes: Family and friends, red wine, nice people, morals, cheese, travel and fake tan.

Dislikes: Ignorance, flying, vodka, sharks, Jeremy Clarkson and early mornings.

I am a point of reference to our teams on rehabilitation matters having worked in the rehabilitation industry for 6.5 years prior to joining UKIM.

Lynne Stavers
Client Services Team Manager
My role is to train and develop new and existing staff through one to one, team format and system development training.

I am also responsible for supporting the Client Services Manager with the motivation, organisation and training of colleagues to ensure sufficient ability and empowerment gained to enable Quality and Volume targets to be achieved.

Likes: Spending time with good friends, cider, BBQs, Radio 1 and jelly sweets.

Dislikes: Queuing to pay in shops, automated telephone systems, adverts on the radio, pickled beetroot, being cold and Mr Tickle.

It is my responsibility to provide support and advice to my colleagues, using my knowledge and experience to ensure that all cases are progressed to the highest standard. I act as a mentor to my colleagues and assist with their training needs whilst providing constant good customer service and administration.

Client Services Team Manager
It is my job to oversee the daily workflow of the Medical Records Team which includes the processing of medical records, consent forms, general records queries and the co-ordination of any tests, treatments or diagnostics required. I also work closely with the Client Services Manager and other Supervisors to ensure that we maintain a smooth and productive office.

LIKES: Dry white wine (lots of), a good book with some peace and quiet, spicy food and sunny holidays.

DISLIKES: Lollipop people, birds, milk, football and red wine.

It is my responsibility for the day to day running of the post room to ensure all incoming and outgoing post is dealt with in a timely manner.

I am responsible for the post room team and their personal development. I report directly to the Client Services Manager, and work closely with the other Client Services Supervisors.

LIKES: White wine, socialising with friends, eating out, hand bags and holidays.

DISLIKES: Baked beans, negative people, cider, exercise, training shoes.

I am responsible for the running of the Records and Diary team. The team follow up outstanding requests for medical records, appointments and consent forms. They speak with clients, solicitors and surgeries on a daily basis. The team will also be the first contact for inbound calls into the business.

Likes: handbags, holidays, rose wine, champagne and my Nieces and Nephews.

Dislikes: gin, tinned vegetables, horror films, motorbikes and rats.

Senior Client Services Administrator
I am a Senior Client Services Administrator on the Admin Team and I assist with the recruitment of medical experts and maintain the medical expert database ensuring all details are correct and up to date. I also help to monitor the selection of experts and the allocation of instructions. With my knowledge of all of UKIM's processes, I am also able to help other teams when needed.

Likes: shopping, sunny holidays, weekends, cooking and cleaning.

Dislikes: hangovers, having less then 8 hours sleep, spiders, diets and exercise.

Philippa Howarth
Senior Client Services Administrator
I work within the customer service and medical records team. It is my job to assist both my team members and other colleagues with any queries and issues they find on a day to day basis. It is also my job to process medical records, forms of authority and invoices, whilst providing excellent customer service to solicitors, medical experts and clients via telephone calls which we receive in the office.

Likes: Rose wine, Facebook, any 80's cheesy music, pizza, tangfastics and blue sourz.

Dislikes: Hangovers, people without a sense of humour, peas and food with bits in that stick in your teeth. i.e. ryvitas (yuk)

Special Projects Team Manager
I am responsible for the day to day running of the Projects Team, dealing with all of the non standard work that comes into UKIM. It is also my responsibility to ensure that service levels and quality standards are met and the team are developed to their full potential.

Likes: a good DVD and a bottle of wine, camping, road trips, holidays in general and growing my own fruit and veg.

Dislikes: long cold winters, greenflies and the Gym.

I am responsible for the recruitment of medical experts which includes the negotiation of favourable terms, procurement of treatment and diagnostic services, reports and quality assurance and medical expert technical advice and guidance.

Likes: Squash, golf, bellringing, sailing, Timothy Taylor's Landlord bitter, red wine, fine cheeses and malt whisky.

Dislikes: Anything "organic" and chewing gum on pavements.

Victoria Fraser
Senior Client Services Administrator
I work amongst the medical expert team where I process instructions, deal with the reading and invoicing of the medical reports and most queries in this area. I also provide help and assistance to any operational staff when needed.

Likes: My dog, my horse, having fun with friends (which mainly involves eating, drinking & a good boogie) and going on holiday.

Dislikes: Coleslaw, hangovers, ignorant people & diets.

I am responsible for the Administration Team and deal with the time management and development of the team. I provide support to the Client Services Manager and the Expert and Customer Service Teams. I also deal with the setting up and running of the cases for the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Paul Gray
Finance Director
It is my responsibility to ensure that the Finance Department adds value to the Company. A large part of this is to provide accurate, timely and consistent financial information to the management team, together with the necessary guidance and insight to enable them to make the important decisions with a full depth of knowledge.

Likes: Sport, the outdoors, keeping fit, beer, wine and cooking.

Lauren Scanlan
Company Accountant
Managing the Finance Team, my role involves monitoring and controlling both the Sales and General Ledger Teams within our Finance Department.

Working closely with our Financial Director, I am heavily involved in Management Reporting, Annual and Monthly Accounts Preparation and External Statutory Compliance. I also take responsibility for VAT, Payroll and Finance Project related matters and provide ad hoc support to Paul as required.

Likes: High standards, Utility vehicles, Miniature Schnauzers and Sauvignon Blanc.

Dislikes: That I can no longer include hairy men in my dislikes as my husband is fast turning into one.

My role as a Team Manager within the Finance Department is to monitor daily workflow, co-ordinate finance training and undertake quality checking ensuring relevant and timely feedback is given to the team.

I am responsible for task planning, personnel issues and the general management of the team including staff attendance and performance appraisals.

I am the main liaison between Business Development and the Operational Team. Providing support for external activities and ensuring regular contact with our clients, to establish long term relationships.

Allan Totty
IT Manager
I am responsible for the management of the IT team along with the services and systems they provide to the company. I also advise on all technical matters and introduce appropriate new technologies to ensure that the systems continue to evolve to meet UKIMs growing requirements.

Likes: Camping somewhere scenic with real ales, a deck of cards, a BBQ and some good friends, and also anything with an engine.

Dislikes: Tomatoes, Football, Technology for its own sake, and trendy bars especially those that only serve lager or alco pops.
